I really love this idea and I think the prompts are evocative and interesting. But I feel like I'm missing something mechanically. It seems like most of the prompts don't have any consequences for failure even though 'dire consequences' are mentioned as a key part of the early game. I keep rereading the text, because I'm sure I must have missed something, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Should I be reducing my stats each time I test them, maybe?
Good question! Consequence for failure is cumulative in this game, punishment is not immediate.
The odds of success in this game are very low: you are not at all likely to become the necromantic trans trailblazer you hope to be. The alternate options resemble the situations of people who surround you, yes, but I do think losing your body, your soul, etc is pretty dire.
